He crept in unannounced and became a house hold name with one single and a phrase that has found its way into the everyday vocabulary of the average Ghanaian. Real name Kweku Zigi Plahar, Zigi with his "U Sey Weytin" chant is set to release his debut album under the stables of the Lynx Record Label.
The album P.O.P – Prince Of Pop will be a mixed album with a generalized pop theme, a genre not so popular to our music scene. The album is set to be launched in October with details still pending approval from his management.
He entered the entertainment industry as a break dancer. His outstanding figure gave him a bill up as a model. His modeling profile expounds through gigs for Smirnoff, MTN, and Canoe Magazine.
Currently he is a student of political science in the University of Ghana. He signed on with Lynx in August 2009 due to his outstanding musical flexibility. He was grandly outdoored on the 30th of January 2010 inside the plush Aphrodisiac.
His launching regardless of the fact that he had only a single to his credit was stunningly successful. His collaboration league spans from Asem, Eazzy, Sonni Balli, Richie, Tinny and Guru.
2010 was an adventurous year for the music industry without a pinch of a salt. Not much needs to be said, Celebrity Publicist, radio and TV presenter, Quame Junior has analyzed the year under review and has thus come out with the following predictions for the 2011 GMAs.

If anybody doubted the ability of Ghanaian artistes to do live performances, they might as well revise their notes. The likes of Becca and Samini have already made their names as established live performers. Richie and Zigi are the latest to be added to the league of extraordinary live performers following their exceptional display at the just ended LOUD IN GH concert.
The show which seems to have been surrounded with controversy since it happened at the Conference center seems to have paraded some of the finest acts in Ghana and this time have them do the unusual. Richie and Zigi opened the show alongside record label compatriot Eazzy and gave the show the grandness it deserved. Conforming to key notes and switching with flows and modulations is no easy task but these two gallant acts proved to Ghanaians that they could take it wherever they wanted and still rule.
From a beat maker, to song writer, to musician, to award winning producer and now an exceptional live performer, Richie has it all and deserves all the plaudits for it. Zigi on the other hand deserves a presidential handshake. He proved to everybody that his graduation from the class of upcoming artistes to mainstream artist was due. He is definitely a huge force to reckon with, a talent of unparalleled flair and finesse.
Videos come in day in day out, critics analyse it and give their opinions and the public becomes the ultimate judge. "Asa Foforo" is the latest video to undergo this trend of scrutiny.
The video is the second to be shot from the U.K.N.R album under the tutelage of Solid Multimedia, one of the most respected Production houses in the country. The video is well on point with high quality pictures, a well executed story line and a not so bad lead girl.
The video is basically a setting of an illegal underground party where the Yaaro arrives and steals the attention of the nicest girl in the party. An embittered young guy who failed to grab the attention of the girl earlier challenges Richie to a dance battle to settle the dispute and justify who deserves the girl.
Richie emerges winner of the battle and introduces a new form of dancing hence the "ASA FOFORO". The video is yet to grab the attention of the public but promises to make a favourable response.
