The love drama between gospel singer Christiana Love and her yet-to-be-divorced husband, Pastor Love Hammond, will simply not end as the ‘telenovela’ takes new twists and turns by the day.
Pastor Love has come out to categorically deny claims that he was being hauled to an Accra court because he had refused to play the fatherly role in the life of a five-year-old child he had with another woman.
But Pastor Love, who is yet t overcome the troubles he has with his musician wife Christiana Love, told NEWS-ONEthat the only child he had outside marriage was a grown up daughter who was even older than Christiana Love.
“Christiana knows I have a daughter before we got married and that is the only child I have outside marriage. It was before marriage and as I said she is an adult and older than Christiana so how can that adult daughter now be presented as a five-year-old boy,” Pastor Love said.
The allegation was first put out by a UK-based journalist, Kwame Frimpong, in an interview with Happy FM, an Accra-based radio station. Kwame Frimpong told Nyansaboakwa, the host of Happy FM’s morning show that Pastor Love was being dragged to court for failing to fulfill his fatherly responsibilities.
The pastor said he had no idea where the allegation of having a five-year-old son was coming from and the motive of the persons spreading the story about him.
“I leave them to God. I don’t want to talk about this matter again because anything I say gets twisted by the same journalists who pushed me to talk. I would not sue the person making this allegation, I would just leave you journalists to God,” Pastor Love noted.
Pastor Love and Christiana Love recently levelled wild allegations against each other and it became clear that their marriage was heading for the rocks.
While Pastor Love alleged that Christiana was having a secret extramarital affair, Christiana accused her husband of rape, theft, incest, murder, idolatry and a litany of unprintable allegations.
The pastor however concluded that the problems he was having with his wife were because of her mother, who had vowed to end the marriage. When the noise between man and wife died down, Pastor Love, in an interview with NEWS-ONE, denied that he was no longer the legally recognized husband of the award-winning gospel musician, Christiana Love.
Though Christiana is currently not staying under the same roof with Pastor Love, with reports indicating that her family had called for a divorce, the Man of God insists he still remains the legitimate husband of Christiana Love, as recognized by both God and the law.
“When her relations brought the drink to my people that they were no longer interested in the marriage, we did not receive the drink and they sent it back. As I talk now, neither of us has gone to court to seek a divorce so technically we remain husband and wife,” Pastor Love told NEWS-ONE in an interview granted in Twi.
When Pastor Love was asked whether he still loved Christiana and would solve their marriage crisis so as to remain husband and wife, this was his response: “We have three children together and as I said, it has never been her wish to do this if not for her mother. I can’t say I hate her but I am still praying about the challenge and asking God where this would end. God has not told me that it is over between us so I cannot say that I am no longer interested in my wife.”
“When I was about to marry her, I prayed about it and God told me that she is a very good woman but I would face some challenges in the marriage. I did not know that the challenge would be this great. It could be that after this crisis, we would become even closer than we used to and not allow people in between us. It could also mean that we would not come together again but the issue is that as at now, she is still my wife,” Pastor Love noted.
The Head Pastor of Love Chapel International, Pastor Love Hammond, who accused his wife Christiana Love of infidelity and getting pregnant for another man, will appear in court to answer questions on why he has refused to take responsibility of a five-year-old child he had with a married woman.

Pastor Love recently launched verbal attacks on his wife, Christie, who is also a seasoned gospel musician, for allowing herself to be used and impregnated by one Nana Yaw who was based in Germany, but Christian Love has since denied the allegation which has generated a lot of controversy.
Christiana Love, who could not stand the embarrassment caused by her own husband, also accused him of allegedly raping her younger sister and their maid servant, but Pastor Love was quick to deny ever raping his wife’s sister and a maid servant in their matrimonial home, arguing that if indeed he had raped the two girls the case would have been reported to the police.
Kwame Frimpong alleged that the charming-looking Christiana Love once dated one of his friends in the UK during one of her visits to the country.He further revealed that he personally witnessed a scene between the two when he visited his friend.
One the issue of Christie dating one Nana Yaw as alleged by her husband, Kwame Frimpong, during the interview with Nyansaboakwa on Happy FM, insisted that Christie was dating Nana Yaw, claiming that he had pictures to confirm it.
Although he declined to mention the names of the people he alleged Christie had dated in Europe, he claimed he had more credible evidence against Christie.
The marriage is now on the rocks as Christiana Love’s family has presented a drink and a Bible to Pastor Love’s family in a bid to dissolve the family.
However, Pastor Love said he hopes that with time things will work out between himself and his wife and insisted that Christie was still his lovely wife.

She said when her husband, who was then away, was told of the unfortunate incident, he insulted her, “You fool, whore. You allowed the armed robber to have sex with you”. The conflicting statements of rationally lead to the question: Was she raped or not?
According to a Graphic Showbiz report published one week after the incident, on May 17, 2007, Christiana told this paper that during the 2:30 am attack, the robbers asked her to remove her clothes so that they would sleep with her.
“I did not struggle with them”, she said.” I wept and went on my knees and pleaded with them not to do that but they did not want to listen to me. I therefore asked them to kill me instead of raping me”.
She told Showbiz that the robbers gave her a number of slaps when she tried to resist but they let her go. “I know it was the power of God that spoke to them not to rape me”, she said. So four years after the incident the question remains to be answered is: Was raped and did it result in a pregnancy which was aborted?

He sounded a bit bitter about the challenges their marriage was going through and accused Christiana of leaving two of their three children with him to cater for them and bring them up.
“She has left two children aged 8 and 6 on me and does not care what we eat, yet she is touring Europe in the name of charity for orphans. I have had to send the children to boarding schools and this is not the best situation for them,” Pastor Love added.
In a response to allegations that he was exploiting Christiana Love and feeding on her income, Pastor Love explained that this was far from the truth.
“I am her manager and her song writer and what people do not know is that song writers and managers of musicians are the bosses of the artistes they manage. She knows this but people who are not in the music industry do not know about this. I do not cheat her and she can tell you this that she rather gains more than I do from this music we do together,” Pastor Love explained.
Meanwhile, Adom News has reported that ace gospel artiste Kwaku Gyasi has called on Christiana and Pastor Love to solve their marital problem for the sake of their children.
Kwaku Gyasi, who is a close friend to the couple, said he never suspected the extent to which his friends’ marriage had deteriorated when he was recording an album, scheduled to be released by Christmas, with Christiana Love.
Though he acknowledged that he was a little ‘immature’ in marriage compared to Christie and her husband, he believed their challenges were as a result of an attack of the devil and his demons who were constantly working against the children of God who used music to spread the gospel.
He however added that gospel artistes were not perfect and society should not demand perfection from them, noting that their challenges had mainly been as a result of fame, balancing spiritual and secular activities and the type of close association that one kept.
Kwaku Gyasi also said he feared that the divorce scandal might affect the success of their upcoming album.
Gospel songstress Christiana Love has offered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians for laying bare her marital problems in public. She has asked all her fans and Ghanaians at large to forgive her, saying that she never wanted to discuss her problems publicly but that things got out of hand.

Scouts who started visiting his church after his scandalous marital issues came into the public domain observed that the services hardly attracted up to 20 members, though in the past it used to attract hundreds of persons on Sundays. Reports said though the larger Ghanaian populace heard of Pastor Love’s scandals barely a week ago, his church members had been privy to the information for some time now and had started to leave the church in droves.
News-One also gathered that Christiana Love, in her capacity as a gospel celebrity, attracted a lot of members to the church and even personally paid for airtime of the church’s radio programs. It is not clear whether Pastor Love would continue to operate the church with the dwindled congregation, or if he would shift into another career, but what is certain is that he would have to do a lot of damage control to redeem his image.
