A few weeks back I started a special journalistic piece on Ghanaian celebrities, their tattoos and its significance since it has become a rather dominant phenomena. I would in the upcoming weeks take readers through a journey to meet all their favourite celebrities in relation to their tattoos and its respective meanings. I call it the Celebrity Tattoo Tour.
I started off with Eazzy and exposed even her most hidden tattoos. This week we take a look at female presenter extra ordinare Baby Gee, an XFM presenter and hip hop artiste. You would probably remember her face from the BET GHANA CYPHER which featured her alongside hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone, Sarkodie and a host of others. To her, her tattoos tells it all.
Her first tattoo spells out the name Julia and its located on her left shoulder. "Julia is my mum's name, she passed away so that explains itself." Her second tattoo was a designed she took delight in and its located at her back. In her own words "When you really look at it, it looks like a flaming heart that has an artistic J which also stands for Julia, my mum". Her final tattoo says "Only God Knows" and is written across her hand. "I was a little lost and needed to remind myself that life wasn't mine". Quite an impressive and rather emotional dedication to her tattoos, watch out! the next time I expose somebody it might be you.
